We Are All Made of Stars
You might think that a bookkeeping agency named STAR Company and a marketing agency named Jet Propelled would be a stellar match, and you’d be right. Being the tech-forward business that STAR Co. is, they first connected with us through the online chat on our website after a Google search. We hit it off with the leadership at STAR Co. right away and were particularly drawn to their focus on environmental sustainability. What came next were years of a wonderfully-symbiotic relationship as we became their agency of record and they became our bookkeeping agency. Some say our connection was written in the stars.
Strategy & Targeting
Prior to working on any branding or web projects, STAR Co. saw the value (as we do) in developing a sound baseline strategy and audience profiles. We dove into the market research in the bookkeeping and accounting industry and prepared a comprehensive 12 page strategic outline. This outline continues to provide the basis of reference for all projects that have come since, including their new corporate branding, website, marketing collateral, and video content.
Branding
As a part of the overarching branding we created for STAR Co., we also developed their corporate messaging platform as we wanted to include a portion of their messaging in an emblem version of their logo. “Your Future is Stellar” speaks to a broad catchment of their audience and client profile while tying into their star-focused company name. We also took the opportunity to create multiple variations of their brand to be used in differing scenarios. Colour psychology, typography, and flexible elements all came into focus on this branding project.
Website Creation
Bookkeeping was not a topic that we were well-versed in and so we wanted to make sure that we had a deep understanding of the industry and our client’s unique needs for this web project. We worked very closely with the owner, Sarah, to review their competition to understand what worked for them and what didn’t. Through a process of wireframing, design, layout, and copywriting, we were able to produce a final website that represents the unique and tech-forward characteristics of STAR Company. We even integrated the same online chat function that they used to connect with us initially.
Video Production
We had the privilege of being welcomed into the homes and businesses of some of STAR Co.’s clients in order to capture their positive feedback of their service support. We were able to create an efficient schedule to complete all filming across two cities inside of one day. These testimonials now have a prominent position on the home page of their website.
Marketing Collateral
After creating a fresh new brand, an updated website, and video content, we were also contracted to take care of their marketing support collateral. Since starting to support STAR Co. we have created their stationery, banners, flyers, and digital support graphics. We also have taken care of their print needs as needed.
